About Us

It all started with my Baba. He has loved books for as long as I can remember. When he was young, books were his escape. He would lose himself in stories of adventure, mystery, and fantasy. As he grew older, that love never faded.
Baba made sure that love of books was passed down to us. I still remember the weekends when he would take me and my siblings to the bookstore. It was like stepping into another world. We’d spend hours picking out books, while Baba always found something new to add to his growing collection.
Even now, at 76, Baba can't sleep without reading. It’s his routine, his comfort. Recently, he had cataract surgery, and even with an eye patch on, he couldn’t resist reaching for a book. That’s just who he is. A reader at heart.

Over the years, Baba collected over 500 books. Hardbound, well-loved, and cared for. Thrillers, fantasy, horror, sci-fi – his shelves are full of stories that brought him and our family so much joy. Each book has a memory attached. Whether it was a book he read to us before bed or one that kept him up late into the night, they all carry a piece of our family’s history.
Now, it’s time for these books to find new homes. That’s why we started tell tale – an online store for used books in Pakistan – to share Baba’s collection with people who will treasure these books like we have. Each book holds not just a story between its covers, but a story of how it brought joy to our family. And we hope, with tell tale, these books can bring that same joy to yours.
Every book deserves to be loved. And every story deserves to be told again.
